Question for written answer E-008902/12 to the Commission Ivo Belet (PPE) (3 October 2012) Subject: Universal charger for iPhone 5 On 21 September, Apple launched the new iPhone 5. Contrary to what had been agreed with the company in the (voluntary) memorandum of understanding (MOU), the device is not equipped with a universal charger but with a ‘Lighting’ charger.
