Question for written answer E-009274/12 to the Commission Nuno Melo (PPE) (15 October 2012) Subject: Tension between Turkey and Syria Turkey is a NATO member. There has been growing tension between the Turkish and Syrian authorities which suggests that an escalation of the conflict is likely. I ask the Commission: Is it aware of the increasing tensions between Turkey and Syria?
