Tsoukalas (PPE) (19 October 2012) Subject: Maritime spatial planning At the European Maritime Day held in Gothenburg, Sweden, in May 2012 particular emphasis was given to the importance of and need for support for maritime spatial planning, which guarantees proper use of the sea by man, alongside protection for marine ecosystems.
