Question for written answer E-010979/12 to the Commission Georgios Koumoutsakos (PPE) (3 December 2012) Subject: The threat of AIDS/HIV According to the UNAIDS World AIDS Day Report 2012, over 34Â million people worldwide were infected with the AIDS virus in 2011. This means that every day seven thousand people were infected, including 800 children under 15Â years of age.
