Question for written answer E-004137/14 to the Commission Ulrike Rodust (S&D) (2 April 2014) Subject: Equal treatment in the common fisheries policy/implementation of Article 29 of Regulation 850/98 Regulation 850/98 stipulates that the engine power of fishing vessels in the ‘plaice box’ must be restricted to 221 kW and these engines may be replaced only if ‘the replacement engine is not derated’.
