Question for written answer E-005249/14 to the Commission Filip Kaczmarek (PPE) (23 April 2014) Subject: Syrian refugees Since the beginning of the Syrian civil war in 2011, ever increasing numbers of immigrants have been entering the EU. The country that has seen the greatest influx of Syrian refugees in recent times, however, is Bulgaria, the poorest of all the Member States.
