The defendant having been the factor of the plaintiff, the latter seeks to charge the former in this action, among other things, with certain losses arising from sales made by the defendant or his sub-agent, of goods belonging to the plaintiff, which losses, as the plaintiff alleges, have accrued from the negligence and want of proper care
