The complainant, who is a jeme covert, brought this hill, by her next friend, to recover a tract of land of *261eighty-nine acres, in Stewart county; which, by a deed executed jointly by herself and husband, on the 29th of July, 1850, was conveyed to the defendant Cooly, who, shortly thereafter, sold and conveyed the same to the defendant,
