This is an appeal from a judgment of conviction for bigamy. On the trial the State was permitted, over objections of defendant, to read a certified copy of sections 1, 7, 8, 9, 16 and 18 of Title XXVIII, Chapter OLXIX, of the laws of the State of Michigan, relating to marriage and the solemnization thereof.
