The plaintiff filed his bill in April, 1876, in the circuit court of Greenbrier county against O. C. Martin, Sarah E. Martin his wife, Gamaliel Knapp and Charles A. Lowry, in which he alleges, that on March 17, 1873, he loaned to said Martin and Knapp the sum of $1,650.
