Upon the trial of this action plaintiff gave evidence tending to establish that he was employed by defendant as a salesman, and had been for some years prior to January, 1893. The salary paid at the beginning of the service was $1,200 per year, and this sum had been increased from' year to year until, in 1892, he received $1,800.
