Appellees instituted this suit against appellant, as receiver of the Missouri, Kansas & Texas Eailway Company of Texas, and the San Antonio & Aransas Pass Eailway Company, to recover the sum of $524.96, alleged to be due from them for 10 cows out of a shipment of 68 cows delivered by appellees to an agent of appellant at North Fort Worth, Tex., to be transported to Alice, Tex.
