This is an action to recover war risk insurance. The pleadings disclose:

That the plaintiff entered the United States Army on May 27, 1918, at Camp Funston, and thereafter, and until April 1, 1919, at which date he was granted an honorable discharge, ho was in the active service of the United States Army.
