On October 10, 1927, the Farmers Bank of Liberty Center, a private bank, closed its doors, and soon thereafter, C. J. Millican was appointed receiver. W. A. Brewer had been the cashier of said bank since 1918 until the time of its closing, and during the period of time in question, was.the treasurer of the Liberty Center Consolidated School District.
