The Old Spanish Trail is a state highway which runs westward from the town of Jean-nerette through New Iberia on its way to the Texas line.

At about a couple of miles from Jeanner-ette the Old Spanish Trail is intersected by a gravel side road known as the Bay-Side Bridge Road, which rqns north and south.
