On petitioner’s application a writ of

habeas corpus

with the accompanying writ of certiorari was issued in this cause. Upon trial in the recorder’s court in the city of Detroit, petitioner, charged with kidnapping, was convicted and sentenced to the branch of the Michigan State prison at Marquette for not less than 25 years nor more than 60 years.
