The Cooper Company, Inc., brought this suit against J. B. Brown and Miss Mattie B. Brown to recover on a promissory note in the sum of $366.49, dated January 2, 1930, due September 2, 1930, signed by the defendants and payable to the order of P. A. Muckelroy & Son. Plaintiff al*638leged that P. A.
