On September 18, 1937, at San Francisco, California, libelant Thomas A. Weeks, signed shipping articles as an able-bodied seaman for a voyage to Australia and ■ return to the United States at a wage of $72.50 a month, on the steamship “Golden Sun”, owned by the Matson Navigation Company, a corporation, and its successors, the respondents.
