The appellant was tried and convicted in the Court of the Justice of Peace of the Fourth District of Hinds County, Mississippi on a charge of interfering with an officer who was attempting to make an arrest, or obstructing justice. He appealed to the County Court of Hinds County, Mississippi where he was tried de novo and again convicted and sentenced to pay a fine of $300.
