This appeal asks us to hold that the district court abused its discretion in denying plaintiff’s application to vacate the dismissal of his case entered May 31, 1967. ^ The dismissal was ordered after plaintiff s counsel failed to appear at pretrial conferences scheduled for May 11 and May 18, 1967.^ Judge Sylvester J.
