LANGTRY, J.
Defendant appeals from conviction under two indictments, each charging him with first degree murder. They were consolidated for trial. One charged him with the slaying of LaVerna May Lowe on February 3,1969. The other charged him with the slaying of Betty Ann Ritchie on the same day.
