The appellant was charged by affidavit with the crime of attempted armed robbery. The affidavit charged that he did:

“feloniously, forceably by violence and putting- Peggy A. McDonald in fear, attempt to take, rob and steal from the person and possession of Peggy A. McDonald, lawful United States of America currency, then and there belonging to Elijah McDonald.
