Harrison Viger, the plaintiff, brought this action under the Jones Act, 46 U.S. C. § 688, and the General Maritime Law against his employer, Geophysical Services, Inc. (GSI), its insurer, Continental Insurance Company (Continental), and the owner of the boat upon which he was injured, Muchowich Marine Service, Inc. (Muchowich).
