This is a civil action wherein the. plaintiffs seek recovery for fire damages to their property allegedly resulting from the negligence of the defendant.

The case was tried to a jury before a Superior Court justice, who at the close of plaintiffs’ case granted defendant’s motion for a directed verdict and judgment on the verdict was entered for defendant.
