The plaintiff, McCann Construction Specialties Co., commenced a mechanics’ lien foreclosure against Alan Construction Co., a general contractor, and R. Lavin and Sons, Inc., owners of the premises under construction, for materials supplied to a defaulting subcontractor at the construction site.
