Plaintiff, Mary Lewis, brought suit to recover for personal injuries sustained in a fall on the front stairs of the apartment building in which she lived. The building was owned by defendant, Clara Peters, and was managed by defendant, W. F. Smith & Co. A jury returned a verdict in favor of plaintiff in the amount of *16,832.
