After a jury trial in the circuit court of Cook County, the defendants, McKennie Houston and Jackie Robinson, were found guilty of robbery (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1973, ch. 38, par. 18—1) and theft (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1973, ch. 38, par. 16—1(a)(1)).
