PIVARNIK, Justice.
Appellant Roger C. Drollinger was charged in Parke Circuit Court with four counts of first degree murder, Ind.Code § 35-13 — 4-1 (Burns 1975). The charges arose out of the February 14, 1977 shotgun slayings of Gregory Brooks, Ralph Spencer, Raymond Spencer and Reeve Spencer in their mobile home near Hollandsburg, Indiana.
