Dear Senator Frappier: This is to acknowledge receipt of your request for a formal opinion from this office which reads as follows: May a member of the Missouri Public School Retirement System receive equivalent service credits in the retirement system, who after entering employment, serves in the armed forces of the United States on active duty or active duty for training?
