Petitioner herein, an inmate of the Kansas State Penitentiary, Lansing, Kansas, having been granted leave to proceed in forma pauperis, has filed with the Clerk of the Court this petition for writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. A rule to show cause issued, respondent filed an answer and return, and petitioner has filed his traverse.
