Appellant Debra Karen Boyd sought to recover damages under the uninsured motorist provision of her automobile policy issued to her by respondent Interinsurance Exchange of the Automobile Club of Southern California. She was injured when she crashed into a building after swerving to avoid being hit by an “uninsured motor vehicle.
