The plaintiff, William Daugherty, brought this action pursuant to the Illinois Structural Work Act, Ill.Rev.Stats.Ch. 48, Sec. 60-69 (1981), for injuries suffered when he fell from the top of a ladder while painting a “dirty liquor storage tank” owned by the defendant, Pfizer, Inc.
