ROSS, Circuit Judge.

Willard N. Gilkerson brought this action against Toastmaster, Inc. (Toastmaster) claiming that Toastmaster discharged him in violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), 29 U.S.C. §§ 621-34 (1976). In accordance with the jury’s verdict, the district court

entered judgment in favor of Gilkerson and awarded him actual and liquidated damages.
