The defendant, Alvin Sam, was charged by bill of information with theft over $500.00, a violation of La.R.S. 14:67. The defendant entered a plea of not guilty, proceeded to trial before a six member jury, was found guilty by unanimous verdict, and was sentenced to six years at hard labor. The defendant has brought this appeal contesting both the conviction and sentence.
