Plaintiffs-appellants Lawrence and Barbara Vandenplas appeal from the district court’s award of attorneys’ fees to the defendants-appellees pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1988. The court concluded that the Vandenplases’ suit brought pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 was frivolous and that the defendants were therefore entitled to recover their fees.
