Defendant, Wilfred R. LaBauve, was indicted by a Calcasieu Parish Grand Jury on December 18, 1984, the bill of indictment charging him with one count of simple kidnapping, one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and one count of aggravated rape in violation of La.R.S. 14:42. Defendant was subsequently arraigned and entered pleas of not guilty.
