BILLINGS, Judge:

Joseph Greg Trujillo (“Trujillo”) appeals from his conviction of possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, a third degree felony. Utah Code Ann. § 76-10-503 (1978). Trujillo contends the police officer’s search of his person and seizure of the weapon were unreasonable in violation of the fourth amendment.
