COATS, Judge.

John Hooper was convicted by a jury of misconduct involving a controlled substance in the third degree. AS 11.71.-030(a)(1). Superior Court Judge J. Justin Ripley sentenced Hooper to four years’ imprisonment with two and one-half years suspended. Hooper’s offense occurred on August 8,1983.
