In this Title VII case commenced in 1973,1 the district court, in 1988, ordered the government to pay plaintiffs an interim attorney’s fee award pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 2000e-5(k). Objecting on grounds of sovereign immunity, the government seeks immediate review by appeal or mandamus.
