Defendant, Rosalyne Gillespie, was charged by information in the circuit court of Will County with one count of bribery in violation of section 33 — 1(a) of the Criminal Code of 1961 (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 38, par. 33 — 1(a)). Defendant testified and denied committing the bribery.
