Terry Devon Trotman (appellant) appeals from his bench trial conviction for perjury under Code § 18.2-434 by the Circuit Court of the City of Virginia Beach (trial court). The charge resulted from a false statement he made in response to a question asked by a judge in the Criminal Division of the General District Court of the City of Virginia Beach (district court).
