In this action, plaintiffs Sidney and Sheila Kauffman seek to recover, pursuant to 42 Pa.C.S.A. § 8371 (Purdon’s Supp.1991), for the alleged bad faith conduct of defendant Aetna Casualty and Surety Company (Aetna) during the course of previous litigation between the same parties in this court. Jurisdiction is based on diversity of citizenship.
