This case is presently before the court on a petition for a writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254.

PROCEDURAL HISTORY

A jury in the Circuit Court of Buchanan County (“circuit court”) sentenced Roger Keith Coleman to death on April 23, 1982, for the murder and rape of his sister-in-law, Wanda McCoy.
