Following a jury trial in the circuit court of St. Clair County, defendant, Brian Murray, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1989, ch. 38, par. 9 — 3(a)) in connection with the shooting death of Tameka Fowler. He was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1989, ch. 38, par.
