The plaintiffs Simpkins, husband and wife, appeal a judgment entered upon a jury verdict for the defendant Ryder Freight System, Inc.

The petition alleged that a semi-trailer truck operated by Ryder approached from behind and struck and attempted to force the vehicle occupied by the Simpkins off the traveled roadway.
