OPINION

DORSEY, Justice.

Appellant, a juvenile, was charged with engaging in delinquent conduct because of his unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. See Tex.Penal Code Ann. § 31.07 (Vernon 1989). At the hearing to determine whether he had engaged in delinquent conduct and was in need of supervision, he pleaded *770true, stipulated to all evidence against him, and waived his right to a jury trial.
