Appellant entered a plea of not guilty before a jury to the offense of possession of cocaine. TexJEealth & Safety Code Ann. § 481.115(a, b) (Vernon 1992). The jury found him guilty and the court assessed punishment at confinement for twenty-five years in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
