Aziz Muthana was convicted by a jury of knowingly and willfully using an export control document which contained a false statement and omitted a material fact to export defense articles in violation of 22 U.S.C. § 2778(c) and 22 C.F.R. §§ 127.2 and 127.3 (1993).
