CAPPY, Justice.

On September 24, 1992, the Appellant was convicted by a jury of Murder in the First Degree, Robbery and Burglary, in the June 28, 1989 stabbing death of Louise M. Fridley who was the 61 year old aunt of Appellant’s wife.

This is a direct appeal from the imposition of the death penalty. 42 Pa.C.S.A. § 9711(h)(1).
