This diversity action arises from the claim of the plaintiff, Mabel Staveley, (“Staveley” or the “plaintiff’) against the defendant, St. Charles Hospital (the “Hospital” or the “defendant”) that she was injured as a patient under the Hospital’s care as a result of the defendant’s negligence.
